Mr. John Clarkson, an English man by birth, but for the last twenty odd yeara a citisen of this country, and for several yeara watchman at the Pioneer Cotten Fac tory, where he aerved with fidelity, waa found dead ia the factory at an early hour yeaterday morning. An inquest waa held over the body by ooroner Woodward, aad the following ver dict rendered : That the deceased being watoh man at the Pioneer Cotton Faotory in George town, did, on the 19th of May, 1865 go to the faotory, as waa hie uaual practice, at the cus tomary time, (8 o'clock;) that he left the fao tory and returned again abont 9 o'clock intox-1 ioated, and not coming home at his uaaal time, yesterday morning, bia wife went to tbe fac tory, where ahe found him lying on the floor dead, having fallen off the chair, and the jary believe from the evidence that hla death waa cauaed by apoplexy, auperinduoed by intem perance .
