Th'is act of association is expressly based upon the aforesaid act of the legislature of this State, approved the thirteenth of March. eighteen hundred and thirty srven, and the aforenanmed members of this limited co-partnerslhip hereby declare that it is their intention to avail themselves (in making this association) of all the privileges and immunities in the said act of the legislature contemplated, and specially of the privilege of exemption frrmn responsibility for the debts and obligations of said association beyond the amount of tihe par value of the stock by them aespectively held, as contemplated an the eighth section of said a t, and all priviledges granted or responsibilities imposed by said act are to be taken and considered as embodied herein. 13. The said co-partnership hereby elect the city ol New Orleans as the place of domicil of said as. soOiation, and determine that the master or clerk on said boat for the titme being, or either of them, shall be tile agents of said association, so far as to sign bills of ladiag, to hind the said association for goods received on freight on board said steamer. 14.
