The first clause enacts " that from and after the (th day of July next, there pliall be raised, levied, :ollected and paid to Her Majesty, to and tor the ublic uses*f this Province, upon all wheat imported nto this Province, except irom the said United (iiigdom or any of Her Majesty's possessions, and >eing the growth and produce thereof, a duty of hree shillings sterling money of Great Britain, for ach imperial quarter ot such wheat, and so in proportion tor any greater or less quantity thereof." We observe that no mention is made of wheat Hour in the Act, and so we suppose that that article will be admitted as before, free. He left Jarlville the latter part of lust week, taking with irr a girl of bad character, and was last seen at iuburn on Friday, in company with her.
